FAQs
ART REQUIREMENTS
FORMAT:
We recommend that you save your files as PDFs.
We can also accept jpg, jpeg, tif, psd, eps, & ai.
(We can accept Word, Excel & Powerpoint files but suggest that you convert them for PDF.)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
All artwork should be complete and the correct size for the product you are ordering.
Allow 1/8” bleed all around using crop marks for copy placement. Items that don’t bleed should be at least 1/8” from the edge.
COLOR REQUIREMENTS:
If your file will print in color, make sure the color is set to CMYK.
If you send a file as RGB the colors may shift and you will not get the intended result. If your file is set up as RGB, convert to a CMYK and do any color adjustments necessary before sending the file.
RESOLUTION:
All files should be submitted at no less than 300 dpi. If you are using scanned images, scan the actual print size or larger. Enlarging a picture will reduce the effective resolution and will result in unacceptable print output. Also, do not “up sample” a low resolution image (72) to 300 dpi. No matter what it says, it will still print like a 72 dpi image.
SENDING YOUR FILES:
You can send your files by any of the following methods:
EMAIL – Files under 10mb can be sent as an email attachment. Send to orders@clawsonprinting.com
